A Homemade Brooklyn Brunch

If I had no obligations and unlimited funds, I’d go research brunch food and brunch places all over the world and publish a global brunch guide. Brunch in NYC is my favorite brunch sub-category. Walk into this tiny place in Red Hook, Brooklyn, for example.

home/made is a quaint, intimate space with exposed brick walls, charming flower arrangements, incredibly warm people, a ton of candles, bottomless coffee and most importantly: super delicious fare. I distinctly remember the walnut toast (it came with my cheesy mushroom scrambled eggs, but I ordered another side of it anyway). We sat there for quite a while, not really ready to brave the weather outside. After the n-th cup of coffe, we finally ventured out into the Red Hook cold (photos from that walk can wait for another post). Wishing you a warm and relaxed start into the week.
