Analogue Nostalgia: The Douro Valley, Portugal

Every film photographer will know about the following phenomenon: you shoot film, are really excited about it, then forget about it in the corner of your bookshelf (especially if you move house between shooting and developing). This happened with four rolls of film goodness: I shot it in June 2013, and only had it developed a couple days ago. The result? A subtle nostalgia for past holidays, for film (as I mostly shoot digital these days), and for memories of one and a half years ago.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite photos from these rolls – they are all from a drive through the Douro valley, a boat tour and the night we spent at a wonderful Quinta. They are all straight from the developer’s – the pure beauty of film, unadulterated.
