Ok, this title is half click-baity, because every single sunset we saw around Cinque Terre was just breathtaking. This one had the added bonus of not feeling “touristy”, having a view of the town, and being surrounded by locals, so…keep it a secret? We arrived in Riomaggiore after our first long-ish hike from Corniglia to Manarola. The villages are neatly linked by train, so we decided to hop on one to get one more village in on day 1.
In Riomaggiore, we roamed the beautiful alleyways, and so kinda stumbled upon the big panorama terrace beneath the church, where we sat down to take in a beautiful sunset.
We then had dinner at a more or less random restaurant (something which obsessive planners like me hardly ever do), and I can’t remember its name…But it wasn’t above average, so you’re better off doing your own research on Riomaggiore dinner. The trains also run surprisingly late, so it was no problem getting back to La Spezia.
